QR code for a link
Enter a link, view the code, save it – for flyers, menus, business cards or presentations.
Only http and https links. Without "https://" we add it.
Enter a link above – the code appears straight away.
In your account, directly with your SafeDoc files: QR codes straight for your SafeDoc share links – and saved as an image in SafeDoc.
What it is good for
Many free QR generators build in a redirect via their own server – to count scans or to make the code paid later. This one writes your link directly into the code. Nothing expires, nothing is counted.
- Only http and https links – no hidden commands in the code.
- Error correction level M: the code stays readable even if a small part is covered.
- Save as SVG (print) or PNG (screen).
Frequently asked questions
Does the QR code ever expire?
No. The code contains your link directly, without a detour via someone else’s server. It works as long as the link itself works.
Is my link stored?
No. The code is calculated in your browser. The link is neither sent to us nor stored, and there is no redirect that counts scans.
SVG or PNG?
SVG stays sharp at any size and suits print, posters and flyers. PNG is an image with a fixed size – handy for presentations, documents and messengers.
How large do I need to print the code?
As a rule of thumb: at least 2 × 2 cm, and the further away people stand, the larger. Keep the white margin around it and test the code with a phone camera before printing.
Can I make a QR code for a file?
Yes – via a link. For example, upload the file to SafeDoc, create a sharing link and turn it into a QR code here.
