How we calculate

One photo ≈ 4 MB, one minute of Full HD video ≈ 100 MB, one document ≈ 1 MB. We add 20 % because older versions and the trash count towards storage. These are averages – 4K videos and RAW photos need much more.

Business plans are billed per seat – that is, per person in your organisation. The storage of all seats is pooled, so someone with lots of videos does not hit a personal limit while the team still has space.

Good to know

Versions and the trash count towards your storage.
The yearly plan is paid in advance for twelve months.
You cancel using the cancel button in your account – no phone call, no form.
Payments are handled by our payment providers Stripe (e.g. credit card) and PayPal. You will see the available payment methods before you subscribe.
The download volume is there to prevent abuse, not to slow down normal use.
If your storage is full, all files stay intact – only new uploads pause.

Questions about pricing and billing

What happens after the Pro trial?

After 14 days Pro becomes paid unless you cancel beforehand. We will remind you by email before the trial ends. If you cancel in time, you pay nothing.

Is the Free plan really free?

Yes. Free with 5 GB has no expiry date and needs no payment details. There are no ads.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes, you can switch to another plan in your account. If your files do not fit into a smaller plan, tidy up first – we never delete anything on our own.

Do prices include VAT?

The Free, Plus, Pro and Family plans are for private individuals and include VAT. The Business plans are for companies; VAT is added on top and shown separately on the invoice.

How are the Business plans calculated?

Per person in the organisation (per seat) and month. Example: 5 Business seats cost €39.95 net per month, €47.54 with 19 % VAT. The storage of all seats is pooled.

How does the Family plan work?

The Family plan (“Familie”) gives up to 5 people 1 TB of storage together for €19.99 per month. One person manages the subscription and invites the others by email. Everyone has their own private space: nobody sees the others' files, not even the person who manages the plan – they only see how much space each person uses. Whoever leaves keeps their files and is back on Free.

Is there a discount for paying yearly?

Yes. With the yearly plan you pay as much as for ten months instead of twelve. The saving is shown for each plan.

What happens to my files if I cancel?

You can still download your files after your subscription ends. The exact period is set out in the terms.

What happens when my storage is full?

All files stay intact and can be opened, shared and downloaded. New uploads only work again once you free up space or choose a larger plan.

How long are older versions kept?

30 days on Plus, 90 days on Pro, Familie, Business and Business Pro. Free keeps only the current version. With the Time travel add-on, versions and trash are kept for a year. Versions count towards your storage.

How quickly does support reply?

A reply from a real person (in German or English), usually within 2 working days. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding nationwide public holidays in Germany. This applies on every plan, including Free – it is a promise about how we work, not a guaranteed response time.

When will the prices be final?

Prices will be fixed before the official launch. Until then this page shows the note "Provisional prices".
