The Free plan with 5 GB is free forever. Paid plans offer more storage and extra features, billed monthly or yearly. Current prices are on the pricing page.

You can try Pro for 14 days. After that the plan becomes paid unless you cancel. We will remind you by email beforehand.

Yes. With “Familie” up to 5 people share 1 TB of storage. Everyone has their own private space – nobody sees the others' files, not even the person who manages the subscription. Whoever leaves keeps their files.

Using the cancel button in your account. You will receive a confirmation by email.

Yes, with no time limit. After your subscription ends, your account continues as a free account. If it holds more than fits there, only new uploads pause – your files stay, and downloading and the data export keep working. Older versions and the trash expire according to the free plan.

You can still view, download and export your files. After 7 days, new uploads pause until the payment is sorted out. Nothing is deleted because of it.

No. If you are over your storage limit or a payment is open, all files stay and you can still view, download and export them – only new uploads pause. If we block an account, you can sign in, see the reason and download a data package for at least 90 days (except blocks for abuse – then via support). We do not delete inactive accounts either.

Depending on your plan, up to 100 GB per file. Large uploads are sent in parts and can be resumed after an interruption.

Yes. Deleted files stay in the trash for 30 days. Older versions of a file are kept 30 days on Plus, 90 days on Pro, Familie, Business and Business Pro. Both count towards your storage.

You cannot upload new files until you free up space or choose a larger plan. Your existing files remain available.

Files and database are stored in data centres in Germany. Backups are also planned for Germany; they are being set up right now.

No. Anyone with the link can download the file in the browser. If a password is set, they also need the password.

Yes, on paid plans. There you can also set an expiry date and a download limit.

Regular files are encrypted in transit and kept in private storage. Technically they are accessible to operations, but access is strictly limited and logged. Files in the private vault cannot be read by anyone but you.

An area where files are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded. Only you hold the key. If you lose both your password and your recovery key, the files are lost.

No. We do not use the contents of your files to train AI models and do not pass them on to providers of AI services. We would only change this with at least 30 days’ notice and only with your explicit consent.

Yes, for payments, email delivery and optional sign-in with Google or Apple. They are listed in our privacy policy.

Yes, on every paid plan – including for self-employed people on an individual account (Settings → Contracts) and for organisations within the organisation. The free plan is intended for private use.

Yes. Doctors, lawyers, tax advisers and other professionals bound by secrecy conclude it on paid plans with one click in their account. The text is a draft for guidance, not legal advice – if in doubt, check it with your professional chamber.
